PHILLIPSBURG, NJ - Local auto
racing - past and present - will be the focus of attention March 7-13,
2010 at the Phillipsburg Mall, located on Route 22 East in Phillipsburg,
N.J.
For the third consecutive year, the mall will host the IRCO Community
Federal Credit Union Dirt Track Heroes show, celebrating the lore of
racing's past and the spectacle of current-day competition. Race cars of
today and yesterday will fill the mall during the event.
The 2010 edition of the show kicks off on Sunday, March 7 and will run
during mall hours for seven days.
For race enthusiasts, nightly activities will be planned to highlight
various facets of racing in the region. Local speedways will participate
providing information for fans and racers on the upcoming season.
Additionally, vendors will be on sale selling racing collectibles and
other items.
The third edition of the IRCO Community Federal Credit Union Dirt Track
Heroes Car Show is a joint effort between event originator Bob Miller and
Brett Deyo.
Registration for the IRCO will begin on Dec. 27. To register a restored or
current-day race car, visit www.bdmotorsportsmedia.com beginning Dec. 27.
