Ledgewood Mall Race Car Show

The Keenan Motors ATQMRA had cars at both the Laurel Mall show in Hazleton, Pa in conjunction with Mountain Speedway and at the Ledgewood Mall in New Jersey over the weekend. Both shows were highly successful with many fans and teams coming out despite the wintry weather on Friday night. The ATQMRA will have a pair of Lehigh Valley cars on display at the Dirt Track Hero's of Yesterday & Today Phillipsburg, NJ Mall starting Sunday march 9th to the 15th.
The ATQMRA Participated in the highly successful Laurel Mall show hosted by Mountain Speedway. Track Promotors Joe Calavini and Mike Odwazny had the opportunity to meet with Mountain Speedway and ATQMRA fans, teams and shoppers throughout the week and handed out schedules and began the promotion of their Friday night go kart racing program slotted to run on the soon to be constructed inner oval. A special thank you goes out to Richie and Johnny Coy with their Brat Chassis car and Frank Fischer and Spitfire racing for having their cars on hand for the week. Richie Coy won the award for the best appearing TQ midget at the show.
2008 ATQMRA Rookie contender Kevin Pritchard and his father had their 42K GSXR powered TQ midget on display at the Ledgewood Mall show. Mike Tidaback, Ace Lane and many racing fans and members of the ATQMRA stopped by booth. The ATQMRA handed out a stack of schedules and had countless people who made the trip to the mall to attempt to identify the antique TQ midget the Pritchard's had on hand at the show. Award winning photographer, Ace Lane Jr. took numerous photos of the un-restored classic in hopes of identifying it. The Howard Boss Mountain City Transportation 29 Courtwright Chassis that was painted and numbered to commemorate the Charlie Shire modifieds from the 60s and 70s will be on hand. This car was raced by 2007 ARDC and ATQMRA rookie contender and part time USAC Sprint car racer Zack Martini. The Blu Metz Keenan Motors, Valley Extrusion 46 TQ that was driven by Blu Metz as well as Matt Janisch outdoors in 07 and Mike Osite in the Gambler's Classic in Boardwalk Hall will be on display throughout the show. Martini, Janisch, and Metz are scheduled to appear on the Pados Brothers Carquest Gasoline Alley TV show to promote the 2008 ATQMRA season.
